Robert B. Roosevelt was the uncle of Theodore Roosevelt. They lived in identical houses built side by side on E. 20th St. in New York. Robert was an early conservationist and wrote several books on field sports. His influence on the young TR can not be over emphasized given TR's commitment to conservation as a sportsman, reformer and President. This book deals with shooting waterfowl for sport, trap shooting, and Montauk Point on Long Island.
